"The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching"
—John Wooden
Let's explore the character HUD Housing Choice Voucher program housing specialist at the federally contracted New Ulm EDA housing authority and Don Klyberg's property manager Rick Newmann through photo and video of the two's first meeting at my recertification housing inspection Oct. 7, 2025. This is Becky's second interaction with my housing stability and her second attack. I watched everything from the point of arrival.
Featured In Photo: Sexual harasser and obsessed property manager Rick Newmann on his way to go mind his own messy business just before he pivots believing there's an opportunity to do some covert retaliatory damage to me for rejecting his sexual advances because 'no one is watching' and NUEDA pulls up. He never tires of harming me.
For months, I’ve been navigating a difficult housing situation that no tenant should ever have to face. What began as a routine recertification process for my Housing Choice Voucher—with a new New Ulm EDA housing specialist—quickly devolved into a disturbing exercise of control through criminality within public services. This is exactly what all of my exposé posts are about: exposing how the Minnesota Paradox actively produces the state’s staggering 90% racial wealth gap in real time. It does so through the criminal behavior of individuals employed within Minnesota’s government and public institutions—misconduct that serves to protect white wealth and white power at the direct expense of Black lives and financial security.
My purpose is to abolish this Paradox, to dismantle its harmful economic disparities, and to end the dishonest “narrative” that blames Black Minnesotans for the very injuries and financial devastation caused by state-sanctioned criminality. The system continues to deny justice and refuses to make victims whole, trapping them in long-term harm until temporary injury becomes permanent disadvantage—while white power structures benefit. This is how the wealth gap is manufactured, maintained, and then falsely explained away as the product of ancient policy or even eugenics—when in truth, it is perpetuated today by Minnesota’s prevailing “group think” culture. That culture makes it unacceptable to even acknowledge crime within the state’s government and institutions, effectively enforcing the same logic as Chief Justice Roger B. Taney’s ruling in Dred Scott, which denied Black people the right to be seen or protected under the law.
This culture prevailed so long that it shaped the overall thinking and conduct of Minnesotans so that anyone can be target of systemic harm but no one as much as Black Minnesotans.
If you recall the first time that Becky and I met, she provided false information to coerce me into signing a Release of Information (ROI) which I know from experience, that the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) introduced to the housing authority some time ago. DHS and HUD are totally different programs with totally different services the only reasons for them to integrate their files and information at the institutional level is for the two to sabotage, target and control the outcomes of Minnesotans "covertly" through excessive, inappropriate, information collection and sharing (mostly electronic) with statewide and national entities who do not verify the accuracy of reports beyond "narrative" before taking adverse action against already, vulnerable, at risk citizens whose income is below the poverty line preventing them from affording legal representation when under attack. This is "surveillance" not checks and balances. It's a weapon for plausible deniability in the destruction of americans on a case by case basis. DHS is Minnesota's largest government department. It handles astronomical funding budgets upwards of $36 Billion dollars over the span of twelve months. DHS is almost entirely plagued with internal corruption and fraud that unrepairably impacted thousands of Minnesotans lives for decades. DHS maintains a closed abuse reporting system—only its staff and its hearing officer are authorized to create or view reports of abuse and maltreatment which is most often preceded by fraud and crinimial misconduct such slander, falsified documents, ommitance of information from case records, refusal to abide by state and federal law and systematic sabotage of deadlines resulting in false denials, disqualfications, termination, medically injurious and financially damaging delays forced by the conduct of DHS employees and the employees of programs it contracts while DHS profits from the period of enrollment despite no delivery of services. I'm talking about injuries that have been recorded to leave sick and disabled minnesotans without access to medical treatment for an average of fifteen years, twenty two years in my case, while DHS recives more funding for medicaid and welfare programs each of those 15 years based on those victims being enrolled on waitlist or alternative DHS programs like foodstamps because they're to sick to go to work. DHS releases more funds to known fraudsters as kickbacks for their silence than to the sick minnesotans waiting on services which actually intentionally misleading langauge that disgusises access to medical treatment as something else because the public would be outraged to have a clear underings that people are waiting fifteen years for medical treatment while the funding is available and it would stop alot sooner—but if you call it services, well the public doesn't know what that means but its sounds like welfare which state rhetoric associates with degerenrate, loss causes, criminals and eldery to keep this whole scheme rolling. It's systematic racketering at the highest level operating in th eoffices where victims would normally turn to for repreive and protection. Many of the individuals being kept too sick to work by DHS misconduct also can not independently afford market rate rent for the same reason and use HUD housing choice vouchers, Public housing etc. operated by local authorities. The intergration of information collections systems enables the two to covertly dismantle and falsey terminate and ensnare threats to seemless state sanctioned and operated racketeering at the federal level—whistleblower, indpendent thinkers, victims who employees don't like for asserting their rights or reporting misconduct and it goes without saying that their will be a racial motivation due to the nature of culture in the state. There is no justifable reason for this intergration—both programs have operated functionally, seperately, since there inceptions. The longer that this intergration is allowed the more quickly you will see housing authorities become as messy, disfunctional, fraudulent and harmful to minnesotans as DHS is. There's going to be a lot more Fair Housing Act and Discrimination cases in HUD. Traditionally, HUD is uncomparably better at following regulation and respecting participants rights.
Now I have personal experience on this matter so I don't require understanding or validation and its not my mission to change the system. To the contrary, what my focus needs to be is on my health, regaining it if possible and returning to a state of financial independence in order to stop new medical injuries and financial disadvanatge that has already devoured my body, my family, my life up until now since the onset of Chiari Malformation and thretans to end my life on a daily basis. That means protecting myself wherever possible from being used as a pawn for political and racial warfare, dstroying our nation and its citizens as a whole, which I don't subscribe to. If the agency is housing—i'm focused on stability in housing. If the agency provides publicly funded medical insurance—I'm focused stabilizing my health. I'm focusing on a healthy me existing dependence on these programs. That's the dream being sold to Americans—temporary hand up. The corruption of the employees inside these programs is making dependence a lifestyle because of the injuries they're causing.
It certianly would not have served to explain all of that to Becky at New Ulm EDA during the september 23, 2025 recertification meeting and a recertification meeting when she's unjustifiably hostile and violating HUD regulation to control my outcome when the consequences of her actions fall on me and the false narrative she creates about her adherence with regulation makes me to blame for injuries and consequences I recieve for her independent criminality—pulling further into dependence rather than following regulation that enables me to get out and a biannual recertification is not the appropriate setting to share dialouge about what's know working within government, while american taxpayers fund the overhead for this recertification meeting. Its the time to complete the recertification documentation and exit the building to make room for the next person in line. The easy way to achieve that outcome is the housing specialist not lying about what documents, taking away my protection by forcing me to sign them, and refusing to provide a written copy (to double check if the employ just took my rights away and left a document that increases my chances of damaging victimization in the system which has nothing to do with the Housing Choice Voucher program) that I can see when you have me signing blank boxes of itty bitty documents on a screen and I didn't even stress myself to attempt to read that one because I trrusted the employee leading the meeting that it was the federally required Release of Information that a regular traditional document of the HUD program that I have cooperatively been signing for more than two decades. After I signed the document she coerced me into—which is problematic document for all the reasons I just explained here she presented the actual Release of Information alerting me to the issue in the first place. It should have just resolved by printing the document as requested so that I can experience my rights and protect myself —but her being master and me being slave, I didn't matter all that mattered was that I do as I'm told to including my freedom of rights and protection.
Am I wrong in asking is this not nonsense? Is this not a waste of time and resources? Is this not despicable conduct to attack a disabled client you're employed to protect? Are you not an incompetent, trashy individual that fails to her job accurately and effectively that should be fired for making her time with Housing Choice Voucher participants about herself because government waste is not the objective of The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development? And shouldn't I experience some protection from being dragged down into a trashy, despicable, wasteful, criminal, place of incompetence by this woman simply having access to me, she's force into that space with her, if I don't want to go there. Am I slave that has to go where she goes, thinks what she thinks, do what she does and be her second hand in increasing government waste and destruction of protections for vulnerable, disabled Americans or am I a vulnerable, disabled American that free to remain in compliance with The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and then leave the building?
That is Minnesota Paradox conduct. Here's the a link to the wasted resources and destruction to my health spent resolving the New Ulm Economic Development Authority employees attack against me. All these individuals were paid and taken care through every email, increasing their health, wealth and stability for breaking the law, while I the victim of their criminality was not paid and forced to supply more health, wealth and stability to prevent further damage from occurring subsequent to the criminal act(s).
I feel like this event is evidence of my making a responsible decision to port my Housing Choice Voucher to another state EIGHT YEARS ago—If only HUD would have responded to the theft of my Housing Choice Voucher then we wouldn't be here now. Quite honestly, I believe I would have been medically restored, financially stabled and purchased my first home three years ago as part of the well throughout and researched five year plan established when I exercised my federal right to move in the opposite direction of chronic failure and criminality. Everything panned out exactly as expected according to that five year plan—when I finally got out—except everything Minnesota continued to touch.
In the video footage below, we see NUEDA employee Becky failing in her first destructive attack, move right into a second attack with the assistance of sexual harasser and obbsessed property manager for Don Klyberg—Rick Newmann. I have waited for this inspection since September 26, 2024 and prepared both my helath and the unit for this inspection. I'm told by NUEDA staff Kellie Roe, the former housing specialist assigned on my HUD Housing Choice Voucher NUEDA—now working in a new position, that NUEDA inspectors will be arriving and there is no knowledge of ETA so I have to do extra to complete the inspection by looking for inspectors to arrive. NUEDA inspectors arrive 45 minutes late to the inspection. Luckily, they arrive in the back where I can see so that I don't have to sit in the animal waste ridden common area steps or outside on the ground waiting for their arrival to the locked building because my physical disability doesn't allow me to stand indefinitely.
I heard a vehicle so I picked up the survillance camera to check if it was NUEDA inspector. I saw Rick Newmann get in his vehicle forget something and then head back to the truck. As I went to set the phone down NUEDA pulled up and I headed to towards the door to let them in while watching the camera. Before I got as far as the apartment unit front door, Rick Newmann yelled is she going to let you in and hurried to so himself without an answer. So I sttod clearly visable in the window, voice horsed from likely MVAC cancer, I chose not to yell hello when I great them when they get to the apartment door without strating my voice.
As soon as the three met, Rick introduces himself and Becky hers. Okay relief, they weren't late because they were consipring for Newmann to get the water back on—they've never met each other.
It might seem paranoid for me to have that question but when someone attacks you once as intentionally as each of these individuals have, your guards are up and you don't put any form of conspiracy past them because if you do you may end up injured when you could have just remained alert in order to divert and dismantle any attack at the earliest moment. Ridiculous that this is my experience as a disabled minnesotan but it is because of the these nonstop systemic attacks—Legal Abuse Syndrome (LAS) aka psyholegal Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Seconds after my reprieve of no conspiracy between the two parties, Rick Newmann—who didn't need to do as much as introduce himself if you only came to open the door, begins to gossip about me in what he thinks is an unheard and unseen whisper, I'm standing kitty corner above them and watching them onscreen—Becky's incompetence is on display as she's seen nodding up and down at Newmann's gossip, loving the opportunity to gather what will no doubt be regarded as valid intelligence about me, from a man she just met, beyond the scope of apartment unit conditions which she's reciving a payroll check to execute and leave. Already, forty five minutes late, wasting government funding I've heard enough and go downstairs to dismantle the two criminals audcaious gossip right under my window whilst I watch.
Another Demonstration LAS Impact
This encounter supports consistent report that employees of Minnesota government and institutions public services simply being given access to black Minnesotans, their property and their stability makes them a chronic target and victim of Intimate Non-Personal Abuse in every form from sexual violence to systematic and legal economical exploitation and destruction. Currently, there is not room in the industry or study of psyhcology for victims of these attacks to process the resulting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in a professional space. Therapist are virtually given permission to take offense to transparent expression of incidents and symptoms resulting from incidence and then reframe what plain and the human result of simple systematic racism and social injustice—forms of violent abuse that have consequences just like domestic violence or warfront violence as misdiagnosis such as Major Depressive Disorder due to longevity as if a persons symptoms would improve whilst still a silenced victim or abuse and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorders and Most disappointingly Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome (thank you Minnesota Office of African American Health) which enables psychologist and systems relying on psyholcogial input to reframe what is a natural human response to the chronic stress and crisis that arrive from systematic legal abuse into some defect in the victim due to ancestral enslavement or current internal culuture assocated with skin complextion—rather than what its—using this example, three damn people that are supposed be doing their jobs and respecting the victims boundaries who are chronically violating their rights, acting unethically, endangering, sabotaging, and attaking them in legal capacity which we already know results in an economically devastating 90% wealth gap between the races and we need to acknowledge and embrace the medical devastation of this rerality as well. We need to do so not based solely on the celluar memory of the battles ancestor we never met faced or through the scope of caucasian psychologist who are representative of population perpatrating these harms, and most often without any experience of being on the otherside of these hams to draw knowledge to form their opinions from—acting like colonizers through the prioritization of their thoughts, their opinions, thier education which lacks our input as the subjects with the experience.
The Call To Formalize and Expand LAS
The failure to formalize Legal Abuse Syndrome (LAS) as a standalone diagnosis—one that acknowledges systemic racism and social injustice—signals a disturbing message: that we do not care, that we do not truly seek resolution. Instead, we demand that victims remain silent and cope silently in isolation, as we chastise them with narratives of not meeting the same of standards of health and performance as the mainstream, as if nothing is wrong with them but their skin color, which they need to get over already, unless their communication about their experience continues to center fully on the glorious legacy of our Transatlantic Adventures aimed at colonizing these people; continue to playing the part of slaves, which the mainstream perceives you to be—continue surrendering full control of protocol on this matter to us, which we explain to the masses and let mainstream decide where you will live and what you will eat with illusion of charity through welfare enrollment because the plan of economic profit through colonization has never changed.
You all just stay down there, so that we can be up here and you can entertain us with anecdotes of how painful it is there, for the purpose of our gratitude of whiteness and motivation to keep on working, so that we don't end up like you—since your station in life is only a result of your own mindset and behavior; its cultural its racial, just "be better people."
Meanwhile:
Did I open myself up to attack by insisting others disregard my right to privacy?
Am I forty five minutes late to perform an inspection I'm paid to attend, with people who are not?
Am I incompetently gathering gossip from a man that I just met, on the clock, in official capacity—while employed in government funded program by the taxes of other people's labor?
Am I destructively obvious to the medical injuries and financial damages that my choices consequence others with because I don't have to acknowledge, let alone take accountability for my actions when they started black victims specifically?
No, she is. But for there to be so much as hope that the next recertification appointment isn't full of attacks and destruction or that the security of my Housing Choice Voucher is not displaced by gossip at the next housing inspection I'm supposed to silently magically will better outcomes into being, talk about slavery just to be talking because I feel so well and doing so well so I'm totally up for that discussion or maybe listen to a therapist share with me what she learned about depression or trauma in school and then tell her about my not existent depression as if humans don't naturally feel bad when their attacked...maybe share the emotions I'm expericing with trauma while dodging trauma because it only makes sense for enlisted soliders to focus on surviving while weapons are blazing, black people we should do both at the same time while systemic weapons are blazing at us and we should accept that doing so didn't produce a reducation in our symptoms because were just inherently broken. End of session, ok Don't worry welfare will help you afford rent, put food in your belly okay enjoy your black life see you next time I get paid and you don't. This is how psychology is addressing the injuries of systematic racism and social injustice. Yet, they wonder why more black people don't invest in psyhotherapy and how untreated PTSD remains prevelant in black populations. Why should we waste what little we can produce not talking about the issues with people who've never acknowledge existence of the issues—because the issue is there behavior and were all content to remain in this cycle?
It's not sensical when Legal Abuse Syndrome (LAS) allows us to give a recieve understanding of what prolonge legal attack like systematic racism and social injustice in our everyday lives does to our minds and bodies. It allows us to understand the barriers and risk factors a paitent faces during an event, a relationship or an environment so that they don't have to open up wounds explaining why their health is in that place today by someone who documents that's not true its really because they're chemically unbalanced or situationally effected but therapist aren't equpit to help process situational solutions or processing of emotions or make mandated reports for their clients expericing abuse—as they would for say a client whose domestic violence relationship resulted in a broken arm. That client has support processing the emotions of it, seeking resoultion to that injury and ensuring it doesn't happen again. Meanwhile, the systemically abused paitent who ends up with a broken arm because city inspectors concealed a property gaurd rail was loose has no support processing the emotions of a government you-just bummer, no support seeking resolutions to that injury—you're on your own good luck, and the opposite of ensuring it doesn't happen again—its go report the city inspector to his boss, the way you reported the property owner to the city because that worked out so well.
The study of psychology is not learning about these scenarios. They're not talking about them because they deem them unimportant—because they're not daily victims of them. To understand the importance of these issues (and stop them), they have to hear and examine the cases.
The way the psychology industry is operating is that everyone is not dealing with a human issue. The humanity must always be removed from Black people, even in psychology. Everyone's issues are safe to explore in medical context but not ours. Our issue must only be discussed in a political capacity—because black people are American slaves. We may be the descendants of people bond in chattel slavery but that we're still no more than that. So, the mainstream is entitled to tell us not to express our own experiences, while it tells us what our experiences are—even what and who we are.
Domestic violence is discussed in both psychological and political contexts. Drug addiction is discussed in both. Criminality is discussed in both. These are difficult social behaviors with major psychological impact no matter which side of them the subject is on. But there’s constant dismissal when it comes to systemic racism and social injustice—when it the most widely spread and longest lasting social behavior of them all. Now we're even talking about the legal strain of custody battles and divorces in psychology—but we're still not talking about the one American population that has historically and consistently been the subject of legal strain since the inception of the nation?
It is a message that, at its core, says: “We hate you—die.” And the painful truth is that many Black people are beginning to internalize that message, with a growing tension that echoes: “Great. I hate you too—now you die first.”
That shift carries a catastrophic potential—not only for Black people in America, but for all people everywhere—if we do not course correct and stop playing in Black people’s faces with performative concern and systemic neglect.
You can only subject a human being to so much inhumanity before their response becomes inhumane. Just as you can only pressure an animal to behave humanely for so long before it responds by instinct—by devouring you.
So who is truly at fault then? The tiger that mauls the intrusive human, or the human arrogant enough to sleep in the tiger’s den while demanding it mirror human behavior?
Black Leadership Failures In Minnesota
Compounding the burden of surviving the Minnesota Paradox without imploding in addiction or self-harm which will make you poorer or dead, or exploding with violence or criminality that will make you incarcerated or dead, is the removal of the Multi-Axial System’s AXIS III and AXIS IV— the only two AXIS's addressing the negative psychological impact or general medical and social conditions—from diagnostic consideration and from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) only since the uprising of protests to systematic racism and demand for equity began. It's like how many ways can shorten, end, negatively influence and contain the livelihood and wellbeing of Black people while pretending that's not the intention and mainstream has done nothing more.
I'm not blind to what is happening, where our weaknesses are as a society, and what immediate actions could result in life saving improvements before its too late to turn back and fix the socioeconomic, legal and medical impact of putting the cart before the horse.
If you are, yet to put yourself in a position of leadership, you're part of the problem, not the solution. And yes, most definitely, that comment is directed at the Minnesota Office of African American Health—I could not be more disappointed in the chronic unresponsiveness to attacks affecting the medical health of Black Minnesotans and responding to my request for your assistance in bringing Legal Abuse Syndrome (LAS) to the forefront on the topic of systematic racism and social injustice, by adding to your website Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome—in response to my request, reducing my accurate focus on current legal abuse to nothing more than the inherited emotional dysfunction of a slave; as if the war which produced the 13th and 14th Amendments to 'abolish slavery' wasn't begun and won on the illegal denial of Dred Scott's citizenship rights.
I empathize with countless Civil Rights leaders who regret their leadership, because this is the obstruction you get from the very people you hope to positively impact—people too committed to playing every bit of the divisive role Willie Lynch designed for them to make progress, whilst everyone continues to laugh at their misery behind their backs and profit from their advertisement in their face.
Fine with me, I don't have to waste my energy tussling with people who need the help to support measures to achieve it. Go ahead and continue to fail meet the mark while pridefully celebrating the position, lol, that's familiar. Just don't expect loyal change makers that will take the lick that you're not in order to achieve your objects to keep showing up to your people's shindigs. I will not be a pivotal role of historical progress for avenging the burdens of Black people again.
Sitting among leadership that openly condemned the Black Lives Matter movement—saying how Black people can't succeed because they're not capable of structure, and that the economic movement would use the media attention BLM has garnered to pass their own agenda of a $15.00 working wage—and feeling offended that leadership could think so little of Black people's independent ability to succeed, and say it in front of us, who were there to aid in securing that income increase for Minnesotans by canvassing for this group—and it's just like, smh, I'm so alone in my own battles when I shouldn't be, because so many of us are facing these same challenges. It feels the economic leadership was right and experiencing profiteers like those who evidently established OAAH, but who are unresponsive to core issues.
Or even those who are more satisfied by mobilizing millions to boycott someone else's establishment so that they lose wealth, rather than mobilizing those same millions to restore their own national supply chain—as if we don't possess the resources as the number one consumers, as if we haven't succeeded at that before, at such a level that our wealth was being burned down by outsiders, making desegregation a wartime strategy in the first place.
Not one dollar, not one cent was earned for the Black population by boycotting Target Corporation. All that came of it was satisfaction for profiteers who were promised investments they didn’t receive. But honestly—what would they have done with them? Clearly not take action to reform the root of Black disparities, or that would’ve been the conversation both then and now. These are just more people profiting from Black misery—exploiting the fact that they're also Black.
Individuals and groups mobilizing millions of their peers to play profitable roles in their agendas—as Democrats have taught them by mobilizing their votes to profit Democratic candidates—while they’re still left alone carrying signs that say our lives hold value, in hopes of being safe in the U.S. a half-century after settlers landed on this continent. It’s disappointing.
Forgive me if I’m going too far. I’m just tired of feeling pressured to sugar-coat miserable realities with political correctness and niceties. The rule of reality for Black Americans—for Black Minnesotans—is not nice. I don’t want sugar with my misery. And if I’m not a slave, I shouldn’t be required to deliver political correctness and pleasantries when delivering talk of experiencing these issues.
Trust, that I comprehend I'm not in the offices that others are in because of my transparent choice. What I'd love, is for someone to comprehend that I don't want to be in the offices because I comprehend the power of my transparent choice. I comprehend how many will idolize me for it and some will seek to destroy because they feel threatened by it—there is no middle balance (grey area) for people like me. The spotlight of the burdensome place is somewhere my star is too bright to safely stand. I don't want to be idolized or destroyed—its not right for me to be in those office roles which have been offered to me all my life and will continue to avoid.
Their star is perfectly balanced to sit in that position safely—it wasn't for them to get carried away in being part of a culture like profiteers, reveling in bread crumbs, hating on the work, that they entered to improve.
I represent the work by circumstance—and I happen to brilliant at observation and extraordinary at strategy. Every strategy I've handed off has been expeditiously successful. Every speech I've delivered, by choosing to step up to the microphone on my own accord has been met with standing ovations. It's only when I come to this particular energy of interacting with public services that it is toxic, destructive and stagnant 100% of the time. I don't get the confidence—you're not succeeding at what you do. You're not increasing health. You're not reducing dependence. You're not making the nation a better place. Seeing you interact with one another has become a burdensome, embarrassing, outrageous spectacle that has nations talking about the psychological instability of the nation as a whole—appropriately. It's like we're the cool club—if failing were cool.
It's like if I entertain people and show interest in wanting to be part of the cool club—than they're very interested in what I need just to maintain our relationship by bread crumbing me, the way their bread crumbing through life—so I can stay in that place forever, loosing my soul trying to get out.
I have stuff to do—positive, constructive, beautiful, extraordinary, light and love type things to do with people who are like me, where I am appreciated. I'm not entertained by toxicity. I don't get a rush by knowing more or having more access or stopping others from achievement. Accolades, titles and photo ops given by people who are fulfilled by that culture don't satisfy me.
All this nonsense often feels like unwarranted moments from public servants to communicate they're in powerful rooms I don't belong in because I represent the work. I don't mean this to be a brag because its not—but at my lowest place I've socialized as a guest in rooms their bosses, bosses cannot get an invitation to. I have receipts but I'm not going to share them because I'm not the only party sharing receipts would effect and I value relationships far too much to play with people's right to privacy. I'm just saying I'm certain that neither EDA's Becky or Newmann have memories with NBA players, World Boxing Champions, Heads of Hospitals, Railroad Company Executives, Politicians and Lobbyist, Commercial Real Estate Owners. I don't disrespect it but I don't want to be in the club. I don't want to be in the offices and I don't want to be just a guest in powerful rooms with my invitees telling me I'm an anomaly, constantly asking me what's preventing me from having building my own—reminding me of burdens when I'm supposed to be reliving stress because to answer that transparently we have to discuss my health and the people in the offices and clubs that don't nourish my soul.
I want to be respected and supported by them at minimal doing their jobs, as the outcome of our missions is supposed to be the same goal. I just want to be healthy and free to go away, not into desolation to please these people, not to be a guest of others—but to finally, experience my uninfluenced birthright to build my own life based off nothing more than my own talents, strengths and decisions. I cannot do that when government fails—my health is too depleted to keep going when I have to carry the burdens of public servants personal decisions. I haven't acquired enough income—to endless replace what public servants steal by breaking the law in processes. I need the protection of the law in order to ever do more or be more than people who are unlike me and don't like me want me to be which is dead, out of jealously, envy and hate of the God in me.
People love to say, “You catch more bees with honey than vinegar.”
Trust history—it doesn’t matter. Black people have been catching hell on earth all along.
Mr. Shabazz and Mr. King—two strategists on the same coin—transitioned the same way. And we, the children, traversing the same upheaval, especially here in Minnesota, are told: “Smile. Don’t talk about the coin.”
We want to be healthy like our peers too.
We want to be protected like our peers too.
We want to be self-determined like our peers too.
We want to be free from obstruction to our self-evident, inalienable birthrights too.
We enjoy wealth like our peers too.
We enjoy profiting from our God-given talents too.
We want to be included in conversations where we are the subject—too.
It’s exhausting to face a constant antagonist intruding upon, touching, and destroying everything you build—unless you give it away. And even then, it never reaches its full potential, because it was never theirs to steward. It’s deeply frustrating when even the oppressed are part of the profit.
What I can say is, declining membership and alliance with any grassroots organizations and instead showing up to do the work that results in tangible improvement allowed me to successfully increase the working wage of every existing and new entry-level Minnesotan, and that's better for Black Minnesotans—just as the civil rights marches and demonstrations of the civil rights era would have done little to improve Black economics and minimize racial violence had it not been for people like MLK negotiating tangible legislation.
Legal Abuse Syndrome is a viable option for tangible improvement, irrespective of it not being created by a Black woman. That's not to take away from Dr. Joy DeGruy Leary, who is brilliant and does meaningful work. I've watched her lectures on YouTube in my free time for years because she is so brilliant.
That had nothing to do with the appropriate, specific support I requested from OAAH. Responding by posting PTSS to their website was a two-word, nine-letter phrase opposite Leary's work—but I'll just call it rude to make my point here.
What measurable goal can this government funded, legislatively supported, office of healthy employed African Americans take credit for?
Straw meet camels back. I'm over it. I'll be concerned about me, and if my success helps someone else with the same issue it's a blessing to us both. Because I feel a way about lifting others up so often just to experience them attempt to brush me off and break me down twice as much—as if by hurting me they don't also hurt themselves when what I do, I once did with us, not me, in mind. Congratulations and cheers to the leadership—you've lost one.
Meanwhile, evidence of this article will be sent to the OAAH to transparently demonstrate how severe and deeply ingrained in culture this Minnesota Paradox is—by their response. The OAAH is a government office, receiving funding to investigate and identify solutions to the outcomes systemic abuse is producing, while the most severely impacted victims of the Minnesota Paradox remain in life-threatening circumstance and receive nothing—not even a recourse for escape. There's no one in power whose unwilling to preserve the benefits they receive through the continuation of the Minnesota Paradox and the 90% racial wealth gap that it produces. Intentionally or negligently, this is what's happening.
into an encounter that revealed serious misconduct and bias among those responsible for overseeing my home.
In this article, I share verified footage and firsthand accounts of what took place—evidence that raises urgent questions about professionalism, fairness, and accountability within the local housing system.
